More random crap (courtesy of me)
Oy. I've got about five minutes right now, since they called a break early so we can go to a meeting soon. Yay.
    [/sarcasm]
I think I've decided that I'm going to make a birthday resolution, since I never do any for New Years. I'm going to try to be a bit less cold when I feel weird (like... depressed, angry, or whatnot), since that seems to screw everything up when I do. I used to use it a lot as my defense mechanism, and it still kicks in whenever I start feeling really down. It's really the feeling of 'If you can't feel anything, those feelings can't get hurt', which held me in good stead throughout schooling - those of you that know the story of my life can probably understand that.
So there you go. I'll try not to be such an asshat at times, too. ;)
In other news: Soylent White! Now with 50% more Caucasian.
That was about the only one of those that I felt I could get away with. Viva la verdad de politico! (Bad translation of Live the Political Correctness)

    People are stupid.
That sounded like a good title, even though I'm really not going to follow up on it, although I do remember a study once where people spent a few million dollars (no, I can't back it up because I don't know where it was from and possess incredible powers of sloth which enable me to not care) trying to figure out why, indeed, inmates wanted to escape from prison. But that's beside the point.
Let's just leave it in the immortal words of the Refreshments:
Show your ID card to the border guard, your alias says you're Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the United Federation of Planets, 'cause they won't speak English anyway
Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people
So meet me at the corner at midnight, we'll divvy up there
Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people
Well, I've got the pistol, so I'll get the pesos... yeah, that seems fair

Yesterday turned out to be a good day, and my good mood seems to keep getting better. Go figure.
    Back to work! I flee!

    Cpked today.
    Fairly full-gear.
The only things I managed to save were my uncalling and two symbols, because I had trunked them beforehand. Lost (probably) two o/s gnome bags, restrung halo, overlord armor, 2 sigils of restraint, 2 wizzy rings, dragonscale leggings, whatever armwear I was using, boots of restraint, bloodbane gauntlets, philosopher's egg, tooth bracelet, timeworn belt, etc.
It's days like this that make me like people.

    Interesting turn of events...
I get a call from my uncle last night, who says that he's finally moving from California to Idaho, and asks me to come along. I start to protest, saying that I just started a new job.
He says that he'll pay me $1000 to do it, because he hasn't seen me in a while and he trusts family more than non-family.
Hey, more power to me. I've always liked him, anyway - he's (I think) the only family member that's even remotely like me. So I told him I'd ask my bosses... who (surprisingly) both say that family comes first, and that the position will still be there when I get back.
Well, my bookstore boss said that. Data entry just said 'Okay, but you're still going to be working here, right?'
    *grin*
So I'll be gone for the week... probably back next sunday.
    Everyone take care!

    You are a Trekkie!
It's a geek, Jim! You probably have a starfleet uniform and a tricorder. Bonus points if you speak klingon. One day you will walk down the aisle with your buttertroll trekkie partner, humming to the Yoyager theme.

    Life!
Haven't updated in a while, so I figured I might as well.
Around two weeks ago, I got pissed at my Target boss, and essentially yelled at him and quit all in the same breath... so I've been searching for another job recently. I've had a couple of good interviews, and a local bookstore might be where I would end up... which would be awesome. :) Granted, I'd still have to work weird hours and the like... but they have fantasy books and manga, and that makes up for it.
I miss Jennie; she's currently on vacation in Chicago for a week, so I don't get to see her. I sent her a letter a couple of weeks ago, but I think it got lost... so I'm sending her another one. Hopefully, it'll be there when she gets back.
Other than that, not much has happened recently. Stay tuned for another update soon. Same bat time, same bat channel.

    Stuff from today!
Hmm. I did a couple of quests... got a total of 140/14 for them, I think... hero questing does reward you quite nicely. I miss Jennie, I still haven't been able to see her lately... but, come Friday, I think everything will be a lot better. :)
After I did questys, I went over to Irda to help Sammy level, which was actually pretty enjoyable. I think she gained two levels, and we took out the wraith of the master paladin (rather easy) and Klin (not so easy, but managable).
Was tempted to go into PG and try Arbaces again, but I looked at the clock and realized that I had to work pretty soon... fun, eh? So Ohlmin is now logged off in Irda Caverns, so I get to try that again tomorrow. If I'm here. Which I likely won't be. ;)
Fira is fine, and still as cute as ever. I have a feeling that her affection for, well, fire is going to get her in trouble someday, but she's a great cat, and I love her.
Now if I could only see the *woman* I love, life would be wonderful. :)

    Today
I get here, nobody's on, so I run into Arbaces.
I spend about an hour on the mist, and decide that I'm only prolonging the inevitable, so I'll wait until monday to do it with Vorosid. I think two people could do it twice faster than one once.
Well, I should say that I decided this AFTER Jasvyr mixed me 70 high explosive mixes, and I succeeded in... knocking it down to pretty beaten up. *cough*
Jennifer logged on! *does a little happy dance* I didn't expect to see her - she's got a lot of schoolwork that, though I hate to admit it, is a bit more important than being on here... but she decided to take a break from it to come on. :)

(while I was in Arbaces - formed with Kodora on Hakim)
Kodora tells the formation 'Not all of it, I still have more... I always have more... but sunday is my rest day.'
You nod to all in the room.
    You smile at her.
Kodora tells the formation 'and I wanted to see you.'
    ^_^

Fira has developed the habit of clawing at my couch/frame with pillows/hamster/thing. I think I need to get her a scratching post so she won't use it/me as one. :)
Oh, and I think that she might just break the world record for the number of times a cat has run into a sliding glass door... right now, she's at 8... she's really cute, and cunning about some things... but I don't think she's too bright.
That's okay, I love her just the same. ^_^

Now, time to go run errands, etc. I DO have a real life!
*grin* Oh, I can't lie to any of you with a straight face.

    Description stuff!
This is from today, after I beat the gem level and got stuck on the mist (ran out of water reagents, no cure poison make Ohlmin sad):
Vorosid tells you '[-.v.-] Are you gonna quit out?'
You tell Vorosid 'Nah. Just gonna sit here and make funny faces at the mist.'
Vorosid tells you '[-.v.-] lol, you ARE a halfling!'

This is my description about Jennie - more important, and it's all true.
I love Kodora, plain and simple. When something is wrong, she makes it right. When something IS right, she makes it better. She's caring, intelligent, compassionate, and too many other qualities to name in such a limited space, and I'll state quite seriously than anyone who says otherwise is mistaken.
She loves me; I love her. Very little else matters to me.

I HAD this on my desc, but MM kept screwing with me:

    Unrelated song lyrics!

Another turning point, the fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life.

    I like that song. :)
    That's about it!
Oh, and Mist doesn't seem that hard, it's just that you can't plague/poison him, so he actually... like... regenerates. Wow.
Oh, and he poisons. Which is why running out of water/earth reagents is BAD. *grin*

In a startling turn of events...
I beat the wyrm last night. All I did was wield Fira (my restrung uncalling) and sit there in combat with it, healing until my sp ran out, and bashing... it didn't work the first couple of tries against the wyrm... but... it worked that time. *grin*
After that, I died on the next level because you get blinded in about every room and I only had five castings of cb left. Now that I've got reagents, though... anyway, I ended up outside of PG, and decide to run back in... Unbeliever's with the hermit, so I sort of go 'umm'... and sit there with my library session running out. He sends a tell to me asking what level I was on, I said that I had died, and he said that he had gotten cpked on a lower level. I'm a bit skeptical, but I shrug and run the moat, and it's genuine. We descend together, and hit the floor he died on with about four minutes left for me. We split up, and I naturally run into a sleep trap with about a minute thirty remaining. I ft him to find it, and sort of grin and say 'Well, guess I'm gone, just loot my corpse for me after you find yours'... and he tells me that no friend of his is getting cpked, finds my body with about 20 seconds to spare, and attacks me to wake me up (I recall about immediately after he flees). I think I like this guy :)
On a less pleasant note, I haven't seen Kodora for two days. I realize that it's silly, but I miss her already.
Oh, and Darke is a stinker, in the immortal words of Bugs Bunny... him being on Cera and not telling me! Bad Darke.
    He's cool, though. :)
That's about all. I hope Kodora comes back soon. :(

    More strange cat happenings
I think Fira has decided that a nightly ritual will be either meowing at me in the middle of the night to get me to follow her into the living room, and then running away from me so I can't get to her... or waking me up in the middle of the night by lying on my face.
    Or both.
Fira is very cute, but is already looking to become a cute pest... which is a good thing. :)
She likes Asparagus. What kind of a cat likes Asparagus?
Then again, *I* like Asparagus... so I suppose that's a weird thing to say.
If anyone wants to see a picture of a cat that resembles Fira, just look on some old Megatoyko's... the cats in Seraphim's picture look a lot like an older version of Fira, except that the orange on Fira's stomach is VERY pronounced.
Working two jobs isn't fun, by the way, especially when you have online friends and a cat at home to juggle. ;)
Ohlmin's back in northstar. I'm glad they decided that it wasn't as important for me to have my own computer... I suppose it gives me a stronger sense of loyalty to the clan. If I ever get the oppurtunity to start a RP clan, I'll likely take it... but until then, you'll likely have to deal with seeing Ohlmin [(-NortH+)] whenever you do a who on me.
I got sorta far against the wyrm... very sig is pretty good, far as I'm concerned. Just need to get spear all the way up, and I think I'll be fine. Maybe riding would help, also. I think I'll just break all my rp rules while I'm at it. ;)
Oh, and my dying against the wyrm wasn't my fault this time! My session at the library ended while I was in combat :X
I also picked up a blade of ice that I'm pretty sure will be an aid... everyone that says that they didn't have much trouble seems to be a bard, which means that they likely used frost on him over and over again... maybe frost slows his probability of replenishing? It's a possibility. At any rate, it's frost type damage, which is likely to do more to him than slashing.
I updated my description on MM. Everyone, go look at it!
    Description, not profile. Remember that.

Arbaces is always good for killing a few hours. Just sitting at the wyrm, backstabbing him, watching him heal, fleeing, re-applying plague/poison, repeat.

    I have a strange cat.
After only having her about a week, I've come to the conclusion that Fira just might be a match for my own peculiar brand of strangeness.
She likes Quesadillas, for one, which isn't odd until you consider that she likes them with Cayenne pepper (*coughcough* like me *cough*).
When she got shots (today), she sat there and took them calmly, and still wanted to be friends with me when we got home. That, to me, is particularly strange behavior.
She REALLY seems to like to ride in the car, and actually sat on my lap as I was getting on the freeway.
She seems to like paper grocery bags, as I think all cats do... and running into the closed sliding glass doors, which holds with my theory that every single cat must, without a doubt, run into a closed glass door at least once.
She likes wet food better than dry food, which I think is weird to begin with (I wonder if feeding your cat meat when you're a vegetarian is strange.).
There are other things. More later!
